Investigate the stylistic of Hollywood jazz taking inspiration from movie musicals of the 1940’s and 1950’s.

Learn the style and the names of shapes and steps from a range of shows such a as Pippin, and Chicago, becoming more familiar in the terminology legendary Bob Fosse, and all that jazz.

Building acting choices and character work in dance phrases to give ownership and context to dance. Ideal for competitive dancers to broaden performance possibilities.

​Working on your own songs (various) or one set ahead of time, looking at the dramatic intention and how to add depth to your performance.

An interactive and inclusive workshop which may include drama games, devising, improvisation, character development and script work that you’d like Anthony to explore.

Implementing Anthony’s Somatic Jazz (TM) approach enabling a holistic first person experience to learn about the body and what it can achieve in the idiom of jazz dance.

Learn how an audition really operates for a dance call with feedback and tips for future auditions, if that’s for professional productions or drama schools.

Applying practical science elements of dance and looking to implement awareness of strength and muscular activation to improve specific elements within choreographic (corner) sequences.

This is not a quick fix, but an informative session to build upon.

All workshops are £100 per hour for the first 3 hours, then £50 per hour after the initial three.

Travel is not included and round trips plus any required tolls are charged at 40p/ mile from CM14 5NA (closest postcode to M25 junction 28) or standard National Rail rates.

There is no class size limit.

*If the workshop location is held over 50 miles of CM14 5NA, a minimum rate of £350.
